Woody
Before Toy Story first arrived in cinemas in 1995, Woody was a relatively uncommon choice for UK parents. Since then, the name has enjoyed a steady rise in popularity, reaching its biggest post-release boost following Toy Story 3, when registrations increased by 36%.

In the year that followed, registrations jumped by 280%, making Buzz the character with the biggest impact on baby naming trends in our study.

Jessie
Unlike Woody and Buzz, Jessie was already a popular baby name choice among UK parents before she first appeared in Toy Story 2. While the character's arrival coincided with modest growth in the years that followed, her biggest impact came after Toy Story 3. In the two years following the film's release, registrations surged by 91%, making Jessie one of the biggest Toy Story inspired naming success stories in our research.
