Click & Collect

Our FREE* Click & Collect service will ensure your order is ready for you within 2 hours at your chosen store, subject to store opening times, order volumes, and the time the order is placed.

We will hold your Click & Collect order for you at your chosen store for 2 days (from the date of order).

*A €2 non-collection fee will be deducted from the order value if your order is not collected within the above time frame. The non-collection fee will not apply to pre-orders, and/or partial/short-picked orders.

All Click & Collect purchases are subject to Smyths Toys Terms and Conditions.

How does Click & Collect work?

To place a Click & Collect order, select your store, add the items to your basket, and complete your transaction.

When you place your order, you will be requested to provide payment details. In providing these details, you give us consent to completing either:

a. a pre-authorisation check on your payment details whereby a standard fraud security process is completed, and funds are reserved on the cardholder’s account thus removing them from the “available to spend” balance. No payment is taken from the account at this point; or

b. a charge and capture of funds on the cardholder’s account for the order total.

You will receive two emails.

1. The first one confirms we have received your order and is being processed.

2. The second one (Ready for Collection) is to notify you that your order is ready for collection at your chosen store.

If your order contains a number of items and one or more of the items is unavailable in your chosen store, you will receive an email confirming your updated order, alongside the unique reference number, barcode, and confirmation that your updated order is ready for collection. We cannot be held liable for any losses or costs arising as a result of items not being available.

Do not travel to your chosen store until you have received the ‘Ready for Collection’ email containing the unique collection barcode and order number. You cannot collect your order before receiving this email. We make every effort to ensure your order is available for collection within the indicated timeframe.

Before you travel to your local store, please ensure you have the following:

  • Your "Ready for Collection" email from us containing your unique order number and barcode.

  • The payment method used to order the item online.

  • Photo identification of the person who placed the order as this may also be required.

If you order a large or heavy item, please ensure you have the means to easily collect the item.

Once you have successfully collected your order, you will receive your receipt by email. Your contract with Smyths Toys Superstores comes into being on your collection of your order (and not before) and payment is now taken from your preauthorised account details.

Your order will be held and available for 2 days following the date of order. We cannot hold orders longer than this. Once this time expires, your order will be cancelled and you will be charged a €2 non-collection fee, and you will receive an email confirming this order status. The non-collection fee will not apply to pre-orders and/or partial/short-picked orders.

Click & Collect Price Promise

Where the price of any item(s) ordered through Click & Collect has decreased between order and collection time, you will receive and benefit from any price reduction. In all other scenarios, you pay the price displayed at the time of order.

Discount coupons for in-store purchases and/or in-store only promotions cannot be redeemed against Click & Collect orders.

Will I be charged if I do not collect my Click & Collect order within 2 days?

Yes.

If you do not collect your order within the collection period, your order will be cancelled, and you will be charged a €2 non-collection fee. The remaining balance of funds on your order will then be released or refunded. The release of funds can take up to 5 working days and is outside the control of Smyths Toys. The non-collection fee does not apply to pre-orders or partial/short-picked orders.

Will I be charged if my Click & Collect order was cancelled for other reasons?

There are multiple reasons an order may be cancelled. Aside from the non-collection fee for failure to collect your order, you will not be charged.

If your order has been cancelled, you will receive a cancellation email. There is no further action required by you. Any charge or pre-authorisation on your bank account will be released/refunded. The process can take up to 5 working days and is outside the control of Smyths Toys.

Are Click & Collect orders discreetly packaged?

Please note your Click & Collect items will be in clear packaging with contents visible.
