X-Factor Terms & Conditions

  1. The winner will be chosen at random from all entrants. This competition runs simultaneously on all of the Facebook pages of the Smyths Toys group of companies, being Smyths Toys HQ UC and Smyths Toys UC and Smyths Toys UK Limited. The winner will be selected at random from all entries which are submitted to Smyths Toys Superstores through these Facebook pages.
  2. This competition is open to all UK residents. The competition is open to all, except employees of Smyths Toys and their partners and subsidiaries.
  3. Smyths Toys HQ UC will use your information in accordance with the terms of our Privacy Policy, accessible at www.smythstoys.com/privacy-policy. We may share your data with trusted third parties who carry out marketing services on our behalf. We will retain your data in accordance with the law. You have the right to access, rectify and erase the information we hold, and you can unsubscribe at www.smythstoys.com/unsubscribe.
  4. You must be 18 or over to enter this competition. Winners can only attend the final if they are 8 or over and anyone under the age of 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult. This implies that a child with a pair of tickets must give the other ticket to an adult.
  5. Prizes are non-transferable and there are no cash alternatives, the promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value.
  6. The prize does not include accommodation, travel arrangements, food and drink, or incidental costs.
  7. Entrants accept that if they win, Smyths Toys will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use the winner’s name and county address for the purposes of announcing the winner of this competition and they may be required to participate in post-event publicity.
  8. Personal information about the participants will be shared with the prize provider, Wilton Bradley Ltd in order that the prizes can be delivered.
  9. Smyths Toys are the promoter of this competition, in conjunction with Wilton Bradley Ltd.
  10. The winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the closing date. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winners, but if this cannot be achieved within 48 hours of initial notification, Smyths Toys and ITV reserves the right to withdraw the prize entitlement and award this to another entrant.
  11. Only one entry per person.
  12. No responsibility is accepted for any entries that are not submitted on time or in full for any reason, such as corrupted web pages, by the closing date.
  13. ITV, Syco Entertainment and FremantleMedia are not responsible for the administration of the promotion or the fulfilment of any prizes.
  14. By entering the competition, the participant agrees to release Smyths Toys and Wilton Bradley Ltd. from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the prize or with the acceptance, possession, attendance at or use of any prize (except death or personal injury caused by Wilton Bradley's negligence, for fraud, or otherwise as prohibited by law).
  15. All entrants must have a valid email address.
  16. The decisions of Smyths Toys as the promoter will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  17. Winners’ name and county will be available within 28 days of the closing date on request in writing to the Promoter.
  18. Smyths Toys reserve the right to disqualify any entry if it has reasonable grounds to believe any of these terms and conditions have been breached.
  19. PUBLICITY: Entrants retain their rights to any content of their submission, posted or displayed pursuant to these terms. By submitting, posting or displaying content via social media, online or in press pursuant to these terms, entrants grant The Promoter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to use, copy, reproduce, process, adapt, modify, publish, transmit, display and distribute such content in any and all media or distribution methods (now known or later developed). Winners may be requested to take part in promotional activity and photographs of the prize winner may be requested for use by The Promoter and/or The Retailer for publicity purposes.
  20. The closing date for entries is midnight, 7th November 2019.
