The LEGO Ninjago Movie - Review

October sees one of our favourite toy lines make its debut on the big screen with the release of The LEGO Ninjago Movie. The parents and kids at Kidz Cool It weren’t disappointed!

It’s Lloyd’s birthday and, like any teenager, he’s dealing with the usual challenges that come with growing up—the worst of these being that his father, Lord Garmadon, is an evil Overlord who keeps attacking the city of Ninjago.

The locals all blame Lloyd for the attacks. Luckily, he’s no normal teenager. By night, he and his friends secretly fight off these attacks as part of the Spinjitzu trained team of Ninjago Ninja.

When Ninjago City is attacked once more—this time by a giant cat—the Ninja team are sent on a quest by their sensei, Master Wu (Jackie Chan), to seek out the Ultimate Ultimate weapon and restore order to the city.

This is another brilliant movie from the team that brought us The LEGO Movie and The LEGO Batman Movie. Although different to the first two films, and very much a special treat for LEGO Ninjago die-hards, The LEGO Ninjago Movie is jam-packed with action and very funny in places. Also, some of the film’s coolest scenes and contraptions are now available as toys. These may well find their way onto our little Ninjas’ Christmas lists this year!

In cinemas 13th October 2017.
